About me

Hi, I’m Peter Aisthorpe, a Computer Science student with a focus on cyber security and threat analysis, and a lifelong learner passionate about resilience, inclusivity, and geek culture.

My journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve stepped away from university twice due to disability and mental health challenges, but that hasn’t stopped me from pursuing the things I love: understanding complex systems, exploring technology, and connecting with others through shared passions. I believe education isn’t a straight road, it’s an ongoing adventure, and everyone’s path looks different.

As a student of computer science cyber security, I see myself not as a student for now, but as a lifelong learner. I’m fascinated by how systems fail, how threats evolve, and how to anticipate adversaries in a rapidly changing digital world. I will document what I learn through projects, labs, and research, combining analytical rigor with creativity, sometimes with a geeky twist, reflecting my love of games, TV, and collectibles.

I’m especially passionate about connecting with fellow disabled geeks and lifelong learners. Too often, disability is framed as a limitation. I want my work to show that it is our actions and ideas that define us, not our illnesses or challenges.

Core values that guide me:

  • Resilience — setbacks aren’t the end of the story.

  • Acceptance — of disability, difference, and diverse paths in life.

  • Curiosity — exploring technology, security, and systems with creativity and critical thinking.

If you share an interest in cyber security, tech, or geek culture, or if you just want to connect with someone committed to learning and growing every day, I’d love to hear from you.
